RAIMELL WINDSOR
voice: Soma Saito
[attr="class","monstermain"] — about [attr="class","monstertext"] As mentioned (somewhat vaguely) in his bio, Raimell was born a nobility of sorts and forced into the life of a drifter because his parents' work ruffled the wrong people's feathers. They were doctors by trade, but having been associated with people of higher ranks, not everything they practiced and researched was morally just. However, the pay was too ludicrous to pass up, and Rai learned from a young age that money is what makes the world go round. In short, any problem that can be solved with money isn't really a problem, which is why he is constantly on the lookout for better paying work, so he could buy his way out of trouble should the need arise.[break][break] Ever since his mutations manifested, Rai has been pretty confident in his own survivability. However, memories of living on the streets with his father, with constant fear of being hunted down by assassins has ingrained in him a crippling paranoia that isn't so easy to cure. This is why he absolutely loathes to sleep without a roof over his head, and even then, run-down hotels in the ever leaking and underlit districts of Byzel are hardly any better. The Academy with its heavily guarded perimeters is more to his taste, which is why he always tries to sneak inside and camp there whenever possible. — friends [attr="class","monstertext"] Rai loves making friends because he feels like it tethers him to the country and his name, but whether the other party wants to be friends with him is another question, since he isn't the greatest when it comes to exercising moderation in his speech. He speaks whatever is on his mind and even looks incredibly genuine when doing so, which can provoke the easily agitated or make it harder for the more reserved to fault him for it. Generally speaking, if you don't mind the company of someone who can't take a hint, then Rai would make an excellent drinking buddy.[break][break] Due to his trade, Rai travels fairly often in search of new customers and merchandise. As a result, he more or less knows his way around the city and has poked his nose where it doesn't belong more often than not. Chance encounters are by no means a stretch or, if one is the type to shop at the Bazaar, he does rent a stall there once a fortnight to trade with frequent buyers.[break][break] Rai’s worldview is a bit screwed, having been raised by loving parents who were persecuted for doing dubious work. He doesn’t judge people for performing immoral acts; respect his boundary, and he will respect yours. That said, give him enough of an incentive, such as a pretense like an invitation or request - even better if money is involved - and he will happily do the dirty work with you. Despite not being a magic user, he is a great medic and could very well hold his own in both combat and covert operations, which can be a valuable asset when one needs an old-fashioned solution to their problems. Outside of conflicts, he is a decent cook, having had to live on his own cooking for as long as he’s willing to recall.[break][break] Hobbies: napping under a tree, fishing, enjoying a good drink at the local pub, sitting around doing nothing, basically anything that gets him to wind down and relax because heck, his life has been anything but that. — enemies [attr="class","monstertext"] Rai has provoked quite a lot of people in the past, simply because he couldn't keep his mouth shut in the most inopportune moments. Whether this trait is enough to make enemies out of people depends on the other party and the underlying circumstances, as Rai himself usually means no harm.[break][break] However, as someone who’s prone to run his mouth, Rai doesn’t like to be probed too much, especially concerning his upbringing, since he has trouble telling whether people come to him with good intentions. He’s not good enough at lying to fool the observant, and he’s not so wicked as to want to dispose of potential threats outright, but he will do his fair share of stalking and blackmailing with what little connections he has established in the city until the other party leaves him alone.[break][break] He isn't so scared of assassins on his tail anymore, since it has been over a decade since the incident and he has changed quite a bit both in terms of appearance and physique, a subtle but noticeable process he oversaw himself by administering appearance altering drugs before he reached adulthood. Besides, he isn't outwardly looking for trouble, so whoever used to bear a grudge against his family must've grown bored of the endeavor and let up already, right? — lovers [attr="class","monstertext"] One would have better luck teaching him not to call a vertically challenged person a midget than teaching him about love. To Rai, romance is the same as gaining a friend whom he could trust - not with his life, but pretty damn near close. But since he already gives his 100% to those he treats as friends, what's to set apart the others who are looking for just a tiny bit more?[break][break] Thanks to his inherent abilities, Rai isn't afraid of placing an overabundance of trust in anyone he could call a friend. A little extra effort goes a long way in any business, and a little backstabbing couldn't hurt him aside from some minor depression that's soon to pass with a bottle of wine and a good cry. Plus, he'd give himself an excuse to splurge on drinks he normally wouldn't afford, a win-win, no, a lose-win that comes out net zero either way.[break][break] | [attr="class","monsterinfo"] male [attr="class","monsterinfo"] 26 [attr="class","monsterinfo"] not a midget |
